Bookish News: September 30th, 2011

Happy Friday gang! I’ve got some fun news, exerpts, and also giveaways for you today, so enjoy!

Do you like zombies? I love zombies, so when I found out Otto Penzler’s new zombie lit collection, the aptly titled “Zombies, Zombies, Zombies” was out, I rushed to grab my copy. You can grab yours too, and also head over to Suvudu where they’ve interviewed the talented author, editor and founder of The Mysterious Press!

I’m a ginormous fan of Richard Kadray and his Sandman Slim series (review of Kill the Dead coming soon), and you can read an excerpt of the upcoming Aloha From Hell (book 3) HERE!

Keri Arthur is also at Suvudu, where she talked to Matt Staggs about her Dark Angels series, in particular, Darkness Unbound. Have you seen that gorgeous cover?

Did you hear that Kim Harrison is releasing The Hollows Insider on October 25th? Yep, you’ll be able to get all kinds of extra goodies and insider knowledge of the world of the Hollows and her superb urban fantasy series. Kim has posted some details on her site, and it’s already up for pre-order on BN and Amazon too!

Heart of Steel, the second novel in the Iron Seas series by Meljean Brook, drops on Nov. 1st, but in the meantime, you can head over to her site for more info, and an EXCERPT!

The Hum and the Shiver, the brand new novel from one of my fave authors, Alex Bledsoe, just came out, and I can’t wait to dive into it. Head over to Alex’s site to read an excerpt!
