*One of my absolute fave authors, Jonathan Maberry, has a brand new zombie novel coming out in October called Dead of Night, and I might just have a copy up for grabs soon in my hot little hands (hint, hint), so keep an eye out! You can read more about the book HERE.

*Did you know it’s Noir Week over at Well, it is, and you can see their list of favorite noir actors, including (but not limited to), Robert Mitchum and Humphrey Bogart. You can also read an excerpt of Adam Christopher’s upcoming noir fantasy Empire State (Dec./Angry Robot), and see all the noir goodness here, so go get your noir on!

*Are you a Hunger Games fan? Well, I am, and I’m looking forward to the Hunger Games Companion book due in November! Heroes and Heartbreakers tells you all about it!

*Sonia Gensler, author of The Revenant, talks about her Top 10 Ghost Stories in Books and Film over at Suvudu. If you love classic (and contemporary) ghost stories, you’ll love her list, and do check out The Revenantwhile you’re at it!

*The third book in Caris Roane’s Ascension series, Wings of Fire, is up for grabs at Heroes and Heartbreakers, and the first novel in the series, Ascension, is $2.99 on Kindle and Nook right now, so it’s a win/win!

*Sarah Blaedel, who is a HUGE name in Danish Crime fiction (think Stieg Larsson and Camilla Lackberg, has released her first English language mystery,Call Me Princess. Open Road Media presents a 2 minute documentary video where she talks about her experiences as a crime writer and also about the book!

  3. I didn’t know that the Hunger Games had a companion book either. Ooooh, definitely going to look into that one. I am definitely going to want Dead of Night. You know I love zombies. Thank you so much for the post and the links, I have places to be this week LOL!
